Acetylene is characterized by excellent technologic properties, mainly by high flame temperature and heating speed. It is mainly used in combination with oxygen that enhances its utility properties. Its other advantage is the lower oxygen consumption thanks to the oxygen-acetylene combustion ratio 1 : 1, whilst, at other flammable gases, this ratio is up to 1 : 4.
